In 2006, the Skillman Foundation set out to change conditions for Detroit kids by creating the 10-year, $100-million Good Neighborhoods Initiative (GNI).

In 2016, the Foundation asked us to help give form to the GNI's numerous data visuals, stories, and insights. With the support of its team, we embarked on a year-long process that influenced the design of the Analytic Review, its work, and the mechanisms that would make its results available to local and national audiences. The finished document captures a decade's worth of investments in communities where Detroit’s children live and learn.
